    • Visit Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh.

This morning, after breakfast, proceed to the Golden Temple, the holiest abode of the Sikhs all over the world. The temple is popularly called as the Sri Harmandir Sahib. Arrive with a few good hours set aside and get lost in its magical beauty of the temple. Explore the temple and have lunch at the langar hall inside the Golden temple complex.

Post lunch, visit Jallianwala Bagh, which is a public garden in Amritsar and is also a memorial of national importance, established in 1951 by the Government of India, to commemorate the massacre by British occupying forces.

    • Visit the Wagah Border.

In the evening, proceed to Wagah Border. It is particularly known for the elaborate Wagah Border Ceremony, that happens at the border gate, two hours before sunset each day. The flag ceremony is conducted by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) and Pakistan Rangers (PR). Witness the ceremony with a blustering parade by the soldiers from both the sides, and ends up in the perfectly co-ordinated lowering of the two nations' flags.

  • Day 3
Amritsar - Delhi (455 km / approx. 8 hours drive)
    • After a hearty breakfast, proceed to Delhi, the grand capital of India. On arrival, check in to the hotel.

    • Explore the city of Delhi.

In the evening, we drive through the busy streets of Delhi, catching a glimpse of a bustling life not ready to stop at any point of time. Drive past the Parliament House and the Rashtrapati Bhavan (the President's Residence), a structure epitomizing India's strength, democratic traditions and secular character. Your last stop will be at India Gate. Soak in the grandiose of the city with a drive past the imposing 42 meter India Gate (war memorial arch), set amidst the sprawling gardens. With its eternal flame and the names inscribed on its arch, it affords a perfect tribute to 82,000 soldiers of the Indian Army, who died in the First World War.

      Later, return to the hotel.

    • Meals included: Breakfast
  • Day 4
    Delhi - Agra (209 km / approx. 4.5 hours)
    • After breakfast, drive to the historical and romantic city of Agra. On arrival, check in to the hotel.

    • Visit Taj Mahal and Fatehpur Sikri.

Post lunch, we head of to Fatehpur Sikri, a brilliant fusion of Hindu and Mughal architecture. Located just 40 km from Agra, it is an enchanting folly that changed the landscape of the region, a mesmerizing capital city built by Akbar in honour of Sufi saint Sheikh Salim Chisti only to be deserted within 14 years to fall to slow, poetic ruin.

    • Meals included: Breakfast
  • Day 5
Depart Agra - Delhi (209 km / approx. 4.5 hours drive)
    • Departure transfer from hotel in Agra to airport in Delhi, en route visit Taj Mahal.

Post breakfast, check out and head to visit the Taj - the epitome of marvellous Mughal architecture. Celebrated for its structural magnificence and aesthetic beauty, partake in the poetry of the beautiful Taj and the lost love stories that surround the mausoleum, as it sits reminiscing by the gurgling Yamuna.

The Taj Mahal complex was conceived as a replica on earth of the house of Mumtaz in paradise. Additionally, sound was also used to express ideas of paradise. The interior of the mausoleum has a reverberation time of 28 seconds, providing an atmosphere where the words of the Hafiz, as they prayed for the soul of Mumtaz, would linger in the air.

Words fail us as we describe the exterior decorations of the Taj Mahal as among the finest in Mughal architecture. Worth caressing are its calligraphic panels, its abstract forms, its recessed arches, its lattice screens, vegetative motifs and passages from the Quran that comprise some of the decorative elements.

Later, you bid farewell to your tour, continuing onwards to your next destination.
